THE AFRICAN

                              THE AFRICAN
I am privileged to be an African who lives in Africa where we enjoy good moral practices, rich cultural activities, loaded with all kinds and types of natural resources to grace our standards of living. Yet it is quite sad we find ourselves at the tail end of the league of successful people, cities, countries and even the continent as a whole.

A few individuals are contributing their quota and working tirelessly to restore mama Africa back to the finest mother she is.

Got struck with different kinds of thoughts and questions at work today, and was hoping you could help me answer them.

The first was to ask why I was born in Africa, and of all the nations in Africa why Ghana.
The second was why was I born to the parents I have but not to some other parents.

I realised I was not consulted by GOD in any of these situations, that is as to where I want to be born and to whom I want to be born. I had no hand in it. NO! Not even a finger; it was all the doing of the LORD and entirely GOD.

As a baby, I came out of the womb light skinned. As I begin to age the skin colour started changing, for this reason our ancestors were termed black people. The black nature (colour) of Africans is as a result of the numerous amount of melanin we have on our skin as compared to other people from other continents of the world.

In high school I appreciated the fact that it was no mistake I was born black, born to black parents and born in Africa. In my biology class I learnt that melanin is a pigment found right under the surface of the skin, and its main function is to protect the skin against damage from the ultra violet rays of the sun
.
Give birth to a Ukrainian, Australian, or German, in Africa and he/she will still grow with a minute amount of melanin as compared to a native African.

My black make up was actually planned, and designed by GOD to fit this part of the world.
This means GOD has given me the ability to survive as an African, the ability to rightly project as an African, the ability to withstand harsh conditions, the ability to serve, the ability to fight, strong minded individuals, the strength to work and achieve great goals.

It is quite sad and embarrassing when you look at the league of success and still see us at the tail end with all these abilities.

GOD is overly wise and whatever thing HE does it comes with a reason and a purpose.

You are in Africa and born an African because GOD knows you can help make Africa.

You are an African and born to African parents because there is a bit of Africa’s development in your genes which needs materialize into African growth.

You are an African and live in Africa because we are the best people GOD can entrust this continent to and they are no two ways about that. But we are failing to recognize that.

I don’t know about you but I have been tired for long, now I believe am sick of being at the bottom because am an African child.

The truth is there is no need for competition among humans because we have being strategically placed at where we are for a reason, which is the betterment of the world as a whole. Will find it difficult to live in the arctic because of their low temperatures, and I believe the reverse is also the same. That does not mean there can't be cohabitation.

Be a proud African , Be glad you are an African, work hard as an African, enjoy success as an African and together let us make mother Africa the finest mother she is.

Am a Ghanaian and am starting this in my small corner. like we see it happen in diffusion processes let us diffuse positivism in our minds, programs, systems  and work towards a worthy goal of making mother Africa great.

Thank you and GOD bless AFRICA.
